Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition Irish Whiskey 70 cl

A whiskey that started as pub-talk, and finished in stout-seasoned whiskey casks

For as long as we can remember whiskey and beer have lived behind the bar together, often served side by side but never introduced. Were it not for a chance chat in the local between the Master Distiller and the Master head brewer of Cork’s Franciscan Well Brewery, a barrel-swapping experiment would never have led to Caskmates.

Like all Jameson, Caskmates is triple distilled but – for want of a better word – it is once stouted as well. This whiskey is playing a different tune, with notes of butterscotch, coco beans, charred oak and a subtle touch of hops.
